Selma Community Hospital Foundation

Charitable Giving

Selma Community Hospital Foundation is a 501c(3) Corporation, established in 1982. The Foundation's purpose is to provide supplemental income to Selma Community Hospital for equipment, expansion and maintenance of the physical plant and to aid activities within Selma and the hospital's service areas.

The SCH Foundation raises funds through special events, such as an annual golf tournament and Foundation Festival, and through its Twice Is Nice Thrift Shop in downtown Selma. Funds are also generated through cash donations, investments and a wills and bequests program.

Over the past 25 years, the Foundation has contributed over $1 million to the hospital. Some major projects include an emergency department, heart monitors, four-suite birthing center, interior and exterior hospital refurbishment, a large multipurpose patio, a bone density scanner, a mammography unit, the women's health center, and camera systems for the operating room.

Membership in the Foundation is $30 per year for an individual, couple or business.
